Stop Feeling Dependent On Others To Feel Secure Within Yourself
Learn How to Cultivate Your Own Emotional Security
You may find yourself constantly worrying about relationships, seeking reassurance, overanalyzing interactions, or feeling devastated when someone pulls away. Perhaps you've spent years trying to earn love, keep the peace, avoid rejection, or prove your worth through the approval of others.
Somewhere along the way, your sense of security became tied to how other people respond to you. The good news is that it doesn't have to stay that way.
Individual Therapy for Adults
Build a Secure Relationship With Yourself
Many of the clients I work with appear successful and capable on the outside but feel deeply uncertain on the inside.
They know they shouldn't need so much reassurance. They know their worth shouldn't depend on a relationship. Yet they find themselves repeatedly pulled into patterns of self-doubt, overthinking, people-pleasing, and emotional dependence.
Therapy offers an opportunity to understand these patterns, heal the wounds that created them, and develop a stronger foundation within yourself.
My goal is not simply to help you feel better.
My goal is to help you cultivate an inner security that isn’t dependent on what other people do (or don’t do).
A Holistic Approach to Healing
Healing is about more than changing thoughts.
It's about understanding the connection between your mind, emotions, body, nervous system, relationships, and lived experiences.
My approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and integrative. I combine evidence-based therapies with mindfulness, self-awareness, and deep exploration of the emotional patterns that shape our lives.
I strive to create a therapeutic experience that is both grounded in science and deeply human—one that helps clients not only feel better, but truly come home to themselves.
Erica’s Approach to Therapy
Hi, I'm Erica Turner, LPC.
I help adults who struggle with anxious attachment, relationship anxiety, people-pleasing, and low self-worth build a secure relationship with themselves.
Many of my clients feel trapped on an emotional roller coaster. Their mood, confidence, and sense of worth rise and fall based on how a partner, family member, friend, or romantic interest responds to them. They find themselves seeking reassurance, fearing abandonment, overthinking relationships, or constantly looking outside themselves for validation.
At the core of these struggles is often a deeper issue: a lack of internal security.
These patterns are not signs that something is wrong with you. They are often adaptive responses to early attachment experiences and relational wounds that taught you to look outside yourself for safety, belonging, and worth.
Together, we'll explore the origins of these patterns, heal the wounds beneath them, and help you develop something no relationship can provide for you: lasting self-trust, emotional security, and a strong sense of self.
Because when your worth no longer depends on someone else's approval, everything changes.
