<image:caption>Relationship Anxiety & Anxious Attachment Do you: Constantly worry about being abandoned? Feel consumed by uncertainty in relationships? Need frequent reassurance from others? Overanalyze texts, conversations, or changes in behavior? Struggle to trust that you're enough without external validation? These patterns are often rooted in anxious attachment and early relational experiences that taught you to seek safety and worth through connection with others. Together we'll work to understand these patterns and help you develop greater emotional security, healthier boundaries, and stronger self-trust.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Self-Worth, Identity & Emotional Security Many of my clients have spent years measuring their value through relationships, achievement, productivity, or the approval of others. Over time, this can leave you feeling disconnected from who you truly are. In therapy, we'll work to strengthen your relationship with yourself, helping you develop a deeper sense of worth that isn't dependent on what others think, feel, or do. Our work may include: Building self-trust Strengthening boundaries Reducing people-pleasing behaviors Identifying core beliefs about worthiness Developing self-compassion Reconnecting with your authentic needs and values</image:caption>

<image:caption>Trauma & Relational Wounds Many struggles with self-worth and attachment have roots in earlier experiences. Sometimes trauma results from major life events. Other times it develops through chronic experiences of emotional neglect, inconsistency, criticism, rejection, or feeling unseen. These experiences can shape the way we relate to ourselves and others long after they've ended. Therapy can help you process these experiences, reconnect with yourself, and create new patterns rooted in safety, self-compassion, and emotional security.</image:caption>

<image:title>About Erica - Meet Erica Turner, LPC</image:title>
<image:caption>Hi, I'm Erica. I believe that many of the struggles people bring to therapy—relationship anxiety, people-pleasing, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, and fear of abandonment—are not signs of weakness. More often, they are signs of adaptation. They are the result of learning, often very early in life, that love, safety, acceptance, or worth had to be earned, protected, or constantly monitored. Over time, these experiences can leave us disconnected from ourselves and overly dependent on external validation to feel okay. My passion is helping people understand these patterns with compassion, heal the wounds beneath them, and build a secure relationship with themselves. Because when you trust yourself, know your worth, and feel grounded within, relationships stop feeling like something you have to survive. They become something you can enjoy. Education & Professional Background I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University and my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia. My professional training includes work in attachment theory, trauma-informed care, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and relational healing. In addition to my clinical work, I have spent years helping individuals better understand attachment patterns, relationship dynamics, and the process of cultivating lasting emotional security. My Philosophy I believe healing happens when people feel truly seen, understood, and accepted. Too often, people come to therapy believing there is something wrong with them. In reality, many of the behaviors that cause suffering today were once intelligent ways of adapting to difficult experiences. Rather than judging these patterns, I help clients approach them with curiosity and compassion. My goal isn't simply symptom reduction. My goal is to help clients reconnect with themselves, trust themselves, and create a life that feels grounded in authenticity rather than fear.</image:caption>
